The Holden VF Ute did the Nurburgring Lap in 8 minutes and 19.47 seconds. This was the V8, and not the LS3 engine used. Holden made 4 videos for this attempted, and they aren’t well known to people outside of Australia. They talk about the Ute, driver, and the Ring in the first 3 videos. The fourth video is the lap around the Nurburgring.

They even made a mobile game for this attempted, and it is pretty fun. Well it kept me entertained for a few hours on a plane, and still does occasionally.

It is really sad they will be ending production of the Holden Ute and Commodore in 2017, and the worst part is they never shipped them to the US. I hope you all enjoyed the videos!

The V8 is an LS3 though...

For the VF only HSV had the LS3. The VF used the 6 Liter V8 L77 engine. Now all of the V8 VFII use the LS3 motors not just HSV.
